Donation & Refund Policy

1. Refund window

If you have made a donation and want it back, email support@reportillegalsnearyou.com within 14 days of the gift with the email address you used. We will process the refund without hassle. Donations are voluntary gifts that fund the reporting effort; they are not payments for a service, to ICE, or to any government agency.

2. Recurring support

Donations are set to recur monthly by default because the batch schedule is weekly and recurring support is what keeps it running. You can switch to a one-time gift at any point on the donation form, and you can cancel recurring support entirely at any time by emailing support@reportillegalsnearyou.com. Cancellation stops all future charges immediately.

3. Expedited Filing

A donation that moves a report into the Expedited Filing queue changes that report's place in line and processing order only. Once a report has been processed with an expedited batch, the donation associated with it is no longer refundable, because the expedited processing it purchased has been delivered. Until then, the 14-day window in section 1 applies.

4. Processing

Refunds are returned through the original donation method wherever possible. Please allow a reasonable number of business days for the payment provider to post the refund.
